Having UTRGV students is a rewarding opportunity that connects our research team with new input and student participation. Due to this collaboration, students are able to get research opportunities that allow them to advance their skills and learn how it is to work for the MAC team. Due to the rise in intern participation, we wanted to highlight the students who have made an impact on the RGV community.

Andrea Ramirez - Clinical Research Coordinator
As a recent UTRGV graduate that began working as an intern in the MAC team, transitioning from learning to working within research has been transformative. Coordinating studies and actively working with participants allows me to help fulfill the burden of need in our community. Being on the forefront of community focused research and seeing the impact that our team has pushes me to work towards our mission and grow our reach within the RGV, and beyond.
