American Marketing Association (AMA)
Our Story
The American Marketing Association at Edinburg is part of a National Organization with
over 1,700 members and 325+ chapters. Our members become part of a community that
helps them connect with other marketing professionals and academics. The American
Marketing Association aids its members with all the resources they need to succeed. These
tools include certifications, internships, and exclusive publications.
National Benefits
Nationally, the American Marketing Association provides its members with special access to
innovative resources and tools. These tools include essential templates and webinars that
can be accessed both live and on-demand. Members also gain benefits such as
certifications that help illustrate to employers that you are dedicated to staying up to date
on the most in-demand marketing skills. Lastly, the American Marketing Association
provides its members with a free subscription to Marketing News magazine and digital
access to all four of their AMA academic journals.
Who are we locally, our plans
Our Chapter focuses on increasing our members Professional development through
workshops, volunteer events, and real world event planning. We dedicate ourselves to help
our members find job and internship opportunities that will help guide them to a
successful career. As a team of hard workers that balance school and work life we compete
in a variety of competitions throughout the year.
Local Benefits
Locally, getting involved in your local chapter is a great way to quickly integrate and
network with local marketers. We help expand our members’ planning and execution skills
through local events. As an organization, we make it a point that our members build their
management, leadership and public speaking skills.
