Meet the Eta Omicron Nu Officers
The Eta Omicron Nu chapter is led by a passionate team of Honors students dedicated to fostering leadership, scholarship, and community within the UTRGV Honors College. Our officers bring diverse academic backgrounds and a shared commitment to serving our vibrant, culturally rich community.

President
Hannah is pursuing a major in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Art History, following the BMED Honors Track, and is expected to graduate in Spring 2027. As President of Eta Omicron Nu, she leads with purpose, dedication, and a vision to inspire excellence across the Honors College.
Guided by the wisdom of Florence Nightingale — “How very little can be done under the spirit of fear.” — Hannah approaches leadership with courage and conviction, encouraging others to step beyond fear and embrace their full potential.

Vice President
Adriana is majoring in Biology and is part of the Early Assurance Health Programs (Vaqueros MD) Honors Track. She is expected to graduate in 2028. As an Honors College Ambassador, Adriana is passionate about fostering a welcoming and inspiring environment for future Honors students, sharing her experiences, and encouraging others to embrace the opportunities the Honors College offers.

Treasurer
Patricia Sofia Lorenzo is a Biomedical Sciences major and is part of the Early Assurance Health Program(Vaquero MD) Honors Track. She is on track to graduate in 2027 and serves as Treasurer of Eta OmicronNu. Outside of her academic commitments, Patricia enjoys gardening, finding joy and balance innurturing life both inside and outside the classroom.

Secretary
Megan is majoring in Accounting with a minor in Psychology and is part of the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program. She is expected to graduate in Fall 2026. As Secretary, Megan plays a key role in keeping Eta Omicron Nu organized and connected, ensuring that communication flows smoothly and that important records are maintained to support the organization’s success.

Public Relations Officer
Marissa is a Biology major with a concentration in Biological Sciences and a proud member of the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program. She is on track to graduate in Fall 2025. Outside of her academic pursuits, Marissa was part of the UTRGV Dance Team for the 2024–2025 school year.

Public Relations Officer
Rachel is majoring in Marketing and is part of the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program, following the Basic Honors Curriculum. She is expected to graduate in 2028. With a passion for communication and community engagement, Rachel plays a key role in connecting Eta Omicron Nu with students and fostering a spirit of collaboration within the Honors College.

Event Planner – Brownsville
Jennifer is majoring in Accounting and is part of the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2028. As Event Planner for the Brownsville campus, Jennifer brings creativity, organization, and a welcoming spirit to Eta Omicron Nu, helping design events that build community and engagement among Honors College students. Her favorite quote, “Walk by faith not by sight,” reflects the determination and optimism she brings to her role.

Event Planner – Edinburg
Lillian is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies and is part of the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2026. As Event Planner, Lillian brings creativity and organization to Eta Omicron Nu, helping design meaningful and engaging experiences that strengthen connections within the Honors College community.
Meet the Honors College Ambassadors
The Honors College Ambassadors are a select group of student leaders who embody the spirit of academic excellence, leadership, and engagement. These passionate representatives welcome prospective and new students, support major campus events, and share their own Honors experience to inspire others. Through their service, they help build a vibrant and connected Honors community.

Jose is majoring in Criminal Justice and is pursuing the Leadership/Academic track in the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program. He is expected to graduate in 2028. As an ambassador, Jose is committed to inspiring and guiding fellow students while showcasing the value of the Honors experience. He lives by the words, “La educación abre puertas you didn’t even know existed,” a reminder of the transformative power of learning.

Jessica is majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Spanish for Healthcare and is on the Biomedical Sciences honors track. She is expected to graduate in 2026. As an Honors College Ambassador, Jessica brings curiosity, dedication, and a passion for both science and community engagement, helping connect students to honors opportunities and enriching the Honors College experience.

Heather is majoring in Nursing with a minor in Communications and is part of the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors Program. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2028. As an Honors College Ambassador, Heather is committed to representing the Honors College with enthusiasm, fostering connections among students, and supporting events that create a welcoming and engaging community for all Honors Vaqueros.

Celeste Medrano is majoring in Medical and Health Humanities on the Rafael & Carmen Guerra Honors track and is expected to graduate in 2027. As an Honors College Ambassador, Celeste is committed to fostering academic excellence and engagement, serving as a bridge between current and prospective students while highlighting the unique opportunities within the Honors College. Fun fact: her favorite movie is Lego Batman!

Nicolas is majoring in Biology and is part of the Early Assurance Health Program (Vaqueros MD) Honors Track. He is expected to graduate in 2028.
