Master of Science in Health Science, Concentration in Medical Laboratory Sciences
APPLY NOW REQUEST INFO GRADUATE COLLEGEThe program was designed for graduates of a BS in MLS program who hold the MLS(ASCP)CM or MLS(ASCPi)CM credential. Graduates will gain additional knowledge in specialty laboratory functions and move into supervisory/managerial positions in hospital and clinical laboratories. Applicants who work as generalists, in all areas of the laboratory, are best prepared for success in this program since our coursework covers the 5 major areas in the laboratory, at an advanced level. This is not an entry to practice program nor a MLT to MT program and graduates are not eligible for board certification based on program completion.
Focused on the major areas of laboratory medicine as well as management and leadership, this 100% online master's degree prepares you for middle management in hospital or reference laboratories. Graduates may also pursue consulting positions in private labs or physician office labs or teaching positions in medical laboratory science programs at a university or hospital.
This program is offered in the accelerated online format which is comprised of seven-week modules where courses are offered online on a rotating carousel basis.
Students can register for one or two courses in each seven-week module and can begin the program in any of the six start dates each calendar year, as specified by the Graduate College Calendar.
