Graduate Certificates in Cyber Security and Informatics

The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems offers an MS in Informatics in hybrid mode to facilitate access to the programs from other campuses. (hybrid mode: face-to-face classes in Brownsville and OSYNC for others with exams in Brownsville & Edinburg).

Two graduate certificates stackable towards earning an MS in Informatics are available. This is to benefit students attain college credentials even if they are unable to complete or don't want to pursue a graduate degree. Additionally, a student may continue to complete the intended degree while earning certificates or continue with the degree after earning certificates. Graduate Certificate in Informatics

After completing the two graduate certificates, one only has 6 hours remaining to complete the Master of Science in Informatics degree: Either 6 hours of Thesis (for thesis option) or 6 hours of Designated Electives (coursework option).
