The UTRGV Center for Vector-Borne, Zoonotic, and Emerging Diseases (CVBZED) is excited to fund innovative pilot studies!

Key Dates:

  • Applications Open: September 1 (each fiscal year, pending funds)
  • Review Begins: October 1

Who Can Apply:

  • Open to Center members only
  • One award per year (but unselected proposals can roll over to the next year)

Funding Priorities:

  • High likelihood of securing external funding
  • Stage of research career
  • Previous receipt of a pilot study award
