Admissions
Apply to the program through the Graduate College application. New students are admitted fall and spring semesters.
Successful applicants have:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a recognized international equivalent in a similar or related field
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0
- A valid, current Texas teaching license or must earn this license by program’s end; TxVSN requires that all candidates who receive the TxVSN document of completion hold a valid, current Texas teaching license.
- Official transcripts from each institution attended submitted directly to UTRGV
- International students and/or students who studied at a university outside of the United States have additional requirements. Please see the Graduate College website
Please note: financial aid is not available for students in certificate programs.
