The Behavioral Health Lab is often looking for individuals to participate in research studies. Below are studies for which we are currently looking for participants.

Dental Anxiety Treatment for Children

We are offering free behavioral treatment for children between the ages of 7-16 who are very afraid of going to the dentist. The child will undergo a one-session treatment to potentially alleviate fearful symptoms, as well as four additional assessment. In addition to a free behavioral treatment and a potential decrease in anxiety symptoms, benefits will include gift card compensation to the child and parent for their visits. For more information about the study, please email us at safe-d@utrgv.edu or call us at (956) 665-3304.

Virtual Reality Study

Adults in the community are invited to participate in a study that examines how people explore and learn in virtual reality (VR). Participants who complete the study will earn a $15.00 gift card. If you are interested in participating, please email us at behavioralhealthlab@utrgv.edu. For more information about this study, please click here for the study flyer.
