CEP Student Conference

The Inaugural College of Education and P-16 Integration (CEP) Student Conference is a meeting designed to share knowledge obtained from research and best practices in the field of education. The conference will feature a keynote speaker Dr. Can Saygin as well as several invited symposia showcasing recent research and practice on a set of themes, with different disciplines and perspectives featured, to prompt lively and productive discussions.

Conference Objectives:
- To provide a platform for students to share their research findings, ideas, and experiences related to education.
- To explore and discuss topics such as educational policy, inclusive practices, technology integration, teaching methodologies, and social justice in education.
- To present student work to a larger audience and receive feedback and insights from peers and experts in the field while enhancing their professional skills and developing their academic and presentation abilities. It will ultimately expose students to innovative ideas, emerging trends, and research breakthroughs in education.

Conference Registration
The Inaugural CEP Student Conference registration is now open with free admission. Register today and reserve your seat for Saturday, April 20th from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the UTRGV Education Complex (EEDUC) Edinburg Campus.

Transportation is provided FREE of charge for all presenters and participants on the day of the conference, Saturday, April 20, 2024. The UTRGV shuttle departure on the Brownsville campus will be at 7:30 AM from the Brownsville MAIN and return transportation to the Brownsville from the Edinburg Campus will be between 2:45 PM - 3:00 PM a the Edinburg Student Visitor Center.
Conference Call for Proposals
Proposals are now being accepted for the Inaugural CEP Student Conference. Graduate students are invited to submit papers of research and best practices on topics in education Family & Community Support, Pedagogy/Curriculum (Action research, Best practice, Teacher quality, Math & Science, STEM, Educational Technology), P-16/Leadership, Diversity (Bilingual, ESL, Special populations, Translanguaging, ASL, LGBTQ+), Teacher Learning/Student Learning, and Higher Education.
To receive full consideration, proposals must be submitted by Thursday, February 29, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact cep.studentconference@utrgv.edu.
