Assets Management
The department of Assets Management, located at the Financial Services Building in Edinburg and directly reports to the Treasury,Student and Financial Systems.
Assets Management oversees the following functions:
- Oversees the Assets Management module in UTRGV's Financial System of Record and provides appropriate training for end-users
- Monitors and maintains all capital and controlled assets as per State Property Accounting guidelines
- Coordinates the Annual Physical Inventory
- Reconciles all accounts under the Facilities Planning & Operations department (Construction)
- Reconciles other applicable accounts under the department of Treasury, Student and Financial Systems
- Obtains and verifies funding for construction and/or renovation projects
- Monitors the Unexpended Plant and Investment in Plant fund groups on a monthly basis
- Completes all necessary reports to UT System & State of Texas Comptroller’s Office:
- Annual Financial Report
- Property Value Update
