About Us
UTRGV, the Citrus Center, the Texas citrus industry, Texas A&M and the USDA-ARS-Cattle fever tick lab all join efforts in training the next generation of future agricultural scientists to cope with food security and climate change challenges.

Program Benefits
- Scholarship during spring, summer and fall
- A choice of doing research on Animal or Plant Health
- Get research experience in the field, lab or both
- Travel to local, state, and national conferences
- Publish your results in scientific journals
- Top students get 10 weeks paid in full to do an internship at Texas A&M University in College Station during the summer
