Internal Committees


The Business Processes and Staff Support Committee (BPSSC) envisions a workplace where clarity, support, and continuous improvement are the cornerstones of our institution's culture. This team is committed to fostering an environment where our staff can thrive, ensuring that our business processes are efficient and effective, while advocating for best practices across the organization.

The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining and updating the Staff Senate website and managing the Staff Senate’s social media accounts. They ensure effective communication within the organization by creating engaging content to keep staff members informed about important events, initiatives, and updates.

The Constitution and Elections Committee explores and identifies issues within the constitution that may affect staff, drafts resolutions for the Senate to vote on, and reviews and updates the Staff Senate constitution and bylaws. Additionally, the committee manages the nomination and elections process, identifies eligible staff members, conducts the nomination and election processes, and adjusts the distribution of positions to balance the number of representatives from each division.

The Staff Success Committee strives to be a catalyst for positive change, driving excellence, and fostering a sense of belonging among all UTRGV employees.
