Group attending Neuroscience Research Seminar

The RGV AD-RCMAR collaborates with the UTRGV School of Medicine Department of Neuroscience in the organization of the Brain and Beyond…Seminar Series. The seminars cover a vast array of neuroscience topics from basic science research to community engagement. We meet online via Zoom every other Tuesday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. We are proud that the Brain and Beyond…Seminar Series have hosted distinguished leaders and scientists from advocacy groups, community-based organizations, health care providers, state and federal agencies, and other academic institutions in the United States and internationally. The seminars enrich the academic environment of the Center and the University. They play an important role in our research dissemination activities, as they have served as a platform to host our Alzheimer’s Talks. The Alzheimer’s Talks are an opportunity to interact with leading members of our faculty (scholars, scientists, clinicians), and civic leaders who are actively engaged in uniting our work to decrease the burden of Alzheimer’s disease.

The recordings from seminars focused on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, brain equity, and social determinants of health are found below. Additionally, you can access our list of past speakers. Zoom connection to attend the seminars is available upon request to Claudia Alaniz at Claudia.alaniz01@utrgv.edu.
