The primary purpose of the Pilot Studies Program (PSP) is to guide and assist new or early-career investigators with opportunities, support, and guidance to conduct pilot studies aligned with the mission of the Center.

This program funds investigations to "advance understanding of Alzheimer's disease, identify new treatment strategies, improve care for people with dementia and further our knowledge of brain health and disease prevention."
The Texas Alzheimer’s Research and Care Consortium is a collaborative Alzheimer’s research effort directed and funded by the Texas Council on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders, as part of the Darrell K Royal Texas Alzheimer’s Initiative.
