Carbon Nano Tube Field Effect Transistors Applications
PI: Prof. Hasina Huq
The lab’s research focuses on a thorough characterization and understandings of electronics properties of carbon nanotube (CNT) based field effect transistors (FETs), for Nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS). The research team is investigating temperature effect of CNT based FET.
The goal of this project is to educate and train the teachers in nanoelectronics with a focus on CNT based device modeling and characterization. The teachers will learn the different simulation tools in the light of quantum mechanics available at nanoHUB.org, and simulate CNT based FET devices. The teachers will also assist in the design, and the developments of CNTFET based NEMS system using the existing facilities. Teachers be involved with every aspect of this project: (1) Development of CNTFET model (2) Investigating I-V characteristics of CNTFET, and (iii) analyzing data. This project would be appropriate for science or math teachers and would strengthen curriculum in electricity, arrangements of electrons in atoms, and generating different representation of data (table, graph, equation).
