Promotions Email Enhancements

Dear UTRGV Community,

Over the coming weeks, we will be implementing enhancements to the University’s email security environment to help improve protection against phishing, malicious messages, and unwanted email.

As part of these improvements, some lower-priority promotional and marketing emails may be automatically routed to a new Promotions folder rather than your primary inbox. This feature is intended to help reduce inbox clutter while still allowing access to those messages when needed.

You can help improve the accuracy of this feature over time by simply moving messages into or out of the Promotions folder based on your preferences. Moving a message out of Promotions signals that similar messages may be more important, while moving messages into Promotions helps identify lower-priority content.

Thank you for your support as we continue working to strengthen the University’s cybersecurity posture and improve the email experience for the campus community.
