In order to post an existing vacancy to the UTRGV careers webpage, please submit the Posting Request Form to PositionControl@utrgv.edu. Once the needed budget has been verified the form will be forwarded to Human Resources for posting. Should you have any special requests for the posting, such as customized verbiage for the job description, please contact recruitment at careers@utrgv.edu.

  • Roles and Responsibilities

    • Applicant Reviewer Role 

      • Applicant Reviewers have the ability to view applications, move candidate(s) through the workflow states, and recommend for hire. This role should be assigned to individuals assisting with these actions.
    • Search Committee Member Role

      • Search Committee Members have the ability to only view applications. This role should be assigned to individuals participating in the interviews.

  • Interviewing and Selection Process
    You may use the forms below to assist you as you work through the selection and interview process. Should you use these forms, all Employment Selection Records, such as notes of interviews with candidates, questions asked of applicants, audio and videotapes of job interviews and all other records that document the selection process need to be retained within the hiring department for two years after hire of the finalist based on State of Texas Records Retention Schedules for State Agencies.

Once a finalist has been identified, please submit the Hiring Proposal via PeopleAdmin to initiate the hiring process. This will include the Criminal Background Check and, if needed, a Pre-Employment Physical of the finalist and will commence with the issuing of an Offer Letter.
