Deposit Request

A security deposit is required in accordance with that agreement, and must accompany the application in order for the reservation to be complete. Upon successful checkout following the last semester living on campus,

Any deposits not requested by the deadline will be forfeited. Deposits are only available to residents no longer planning to live on campus. Any room damages caused to the room may forfeit deposit. 

Please complete the following form to request a refund request of your deposit. Following the completion of this form, and your proper checkout from your resident hall/apartment, your deposit will be mailed in the form of a check to your address on file with the University Texas Rio Grande Valley.  If you set up direct deposit with UTRGV we will send the deposit to your bank account on file. The refund process may take up 6-8 weeks.

Fall Deposit Request (For Graduating Resident Only)

Processing refunds will start until January 6, 2020.

All international students must sign up for direct deposit as the university does not mail checks internationally. If an international student is staying in the United States after graduation they can provide a U.S address. International students must submit their request by November 29 , 2019

*Deposit request will open November 4, 2019

Deadline to Submit Deposit Request is January 11,2020.

Fall Deposit Request (Graduating Residents ONLY)


Spring Deposit Request

Processing refunds will start until May 18, 2020.

All international students must sign up for direct deposit as the university does not mail checks internationally. If an international student is staying in the United States after graduation they can provide a U.S address. 

*Deposit request will open April 22, 2020

Deadline to Submit Deposit Request is June 10,2020.
