Deposit Request
A security deposit is required in accordance with that agreement and must accompany the application in order for the reservation to be complete. Upon successful checkout following the last semester living on campus,
Any deposits not requested by the deadline will be forfeited. Deposits are only available to residents no longer planning to live on campus. Any room damages caused to the room may forfeit the deposit.
Please complete the following form to request a refund request of your deposit. Following the completion of this form, and your proper checkout from your resident hall/apartment, your deposit will be mailed in the form of a check to your address on file with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. If you set up direct deposit with UTRGV we will send the deposit to your bank account on file. The refund process may take up to 6-8 weeks.
Spring Deposit Request
Deposit requests open on April 1, 2024.
All international students must sign up for direct deposit as the university does not mail checks internationally. If an international student is staying in the United States after graduation they can provide a U.S. mailing address. International students must submit their requests by April 15, 2024.
The deadline to submit a Deposit Request is June 7, 2024.
Processing refunds will start on June 10, 2024.
Fall Deposit Request (For Graduating Resident Only)
Deposit requests open on November 25, 2024
