Instructions for Check Out
To simplify the process, we have an Express Check Out to speed up the process.
- Students should notify their Housing Coordinator of their intent and date they plan to check out of their room via UTRGV email.

- For students In Room, our cancellation policy will apply. Students should Check out of out the room per our procedures listed in the Resident Handbook or as instructed by the Housing Coordinator.
- Complete the Express Check-Out form
- Place the completed form, room key and resident parking permit in the envelope provided.
- Drop off the envelope in the designated Drop Box.
- Students should notify HC once they have vacated their bedroom via email and HC will check them out of our StarRez System.
- Student must log in to housing portal and cancel application online so we can begin cancellation process that include: Prorating room and board charges There is an early termination notice fee of $1000 and forfeit of their security deposit. Accounting will adjust charges on the student account for spring 2021 after official cancellation.
