UTRGV is committed to providing scholarships and funding to outstanding graduate students. Review the information below for the different scholarship opportunities available to you.
UTRGV General Scholarship
This is UTRGV’s centralized scholarship application where you can find over 200 scholarship opportunities. Domestic and international graduate students may apply.
Graduate Dean’s Traditional Scholarship
This is a, one-time, $2,000 scholarship for domestic and international graduate students who are newly admitted to a traditional program (16-week courses).
Graduate Dean’s Accelerated Online Scholarship
This is a, one-time, $1,000 scholarship for domestic and international graduate students who are newly admitted to an accelerated online program (7-week courses).
GRE/GMAT Test Fee Scholarship
Provides scholarship to both domestic and international graduate students who are required to take the GRE or GMAT entrance exam.
External Scholarships

Student Emergency Fund
Provide limited, last resort, financial assistance to currently enrolled students who are experiencing a sudden emergency, accident, or an unforeseen event.
Assistance for UTRGV Employees Only
UTRGV Employee Scholarship
This scholarship is for full-time UTRGV Employees seeking masters or Doctor of Education programs.
UTRGV Employee Tuition Assistance Program
Current UTRGV full-time employees can take advantage of this program to assist with tuition assistance for up to nine credit hours per academic fiscal year.
