Change criteria for waiver of GRE: 1) GPA of 3.2 or higher, OR 2) minimum of 2 years of work experiences related to manufacturing engineering or engineering management, OR 3) currently enrolled in an eligible engineering graduate programs with a graduate GPA of 3.2 or above.

  • A CV (resume) of the applicant
  • GRE General Test with minimum scores of Verbal 153 and Quantitative 144. GRE scores are valid for 5 years.
  • A waiver of the GRE requirement will be granted to applicants who show proof of
    having completed a graduate degree (masters or doctoral).

Exercise Science (MS)

  • Students who do not have a science background will be required to complete at least 8 credit hours of foundational undergraduate level science course work with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 prior to admission.
    • BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 1406, BIOL 1407, CHEM 1311 & 1111, and CHEM 1312 & 1112
  • Students, who do not satisfy the admission requirements regarding foundational science background, can be conditionally accepted to the program and pass KINE 5303 with a “B” or better to stay in the program.

Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from a regionally accredited institution in the United States. *Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in a different discipline may apply for graduate study if they have completed the post-baccalaureate (i.e., ‘leveling’) curriculum specifically offered by the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at UTRGV.

  • MSN: Active Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a least One (1) year Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Specialty practice. OR A
  • MSN: with successful completion within 5 years of 3 separate courses in Graduate/Advanced level including Advanced Physical Assessment, Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics, and Advanced Pathophysiology with 4at least 3 years of Psychiatric/Mental Health Specialty Nursing practice.
  • A “live/face to face” or “virtual” interview with PMHNP Program Admission Committee required.
  • A Current Resume/Curriculum Vitae is required.
