On June 8, Dr. Teresa Feria gave a presentation on vector-borne diseases to the South Texas Promotores Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health status and quality of life of families residing on the South Texas border. STPA provides health education, community resource information, preventive health screenings and training for Promotores de Salud/Community Health Workers. On the same day, Dr. Feria was interviewed by KRGV to raise awareness about vector-borne diseases ahead of the hurricane season.
