Program Description

Faculty Innovation, Development, and Enhancement (FIDE) is a program, developed by the Office of Faculty Affairs and the Division of Research, to support mid-career faculty.  This program is designed to  assist faculty who would benefit from revision, restart, innovation, or further development of their scholarly agendas.

FIDE will hold eight three-hour trainings workshops with focus on:

  • Strategically thinking about and pursuit of new scholarship agenda.
  • Development of high impact scholarly/creative projects.
  • Identification and successful pursuit of external funding opportunities.
  • Engagement in meaningful collaborative efforts and projects.
  • Align one’s teaching and service with their scholarship.

In addition, FIDE will organize two 4-day “Write-Ins” that will provide participating faculty with the time and space for implementation. During these Write-Ins, faculty will have access to staff who specialize in writing and grant development.

FIDE tentative schedule.

More information can be found in the FIDE Guidelines.
