When is the Engaged Scholar Symposium taking place?
ES2 will be taking place on April 18 in Brownsville and April 19 in Edinburg.
I am a presenter. Do I have to register at attend?
Yes, you must register, but registration is FREE. All registered attendees will receive a name badge, t-shirt, and an opportunity to win a prize! (Register here)
What should I wear?
If you are a presenter, please make sure to dress appropriately (business or business casual, no blue jeans please). If you are an attendee, you may dress casually.
Do I need to attend to the symposium on both days?
The symposium takes place on both the Brownsville and Edinburg campuses on different days. Each day has the same format, but different presenters from each campus. You are welcome to attend both days, but it's not required. (Register here)

How should I create my poster?

Is there a price to attend?
No, ES2 is absolutely FREE!
Where can I print my poster?
On-campus printing is available at the GIS/Media Lab in the Library (Edinburg Library 4th floor or Brownsville Library 1st floor) and other locations. Note that for current UTRGV students, the Library allows the first 4 linear feet to be printed for FREE. We recommend using PDF file type, and be sure to bring your University ID card. Printing may take up to three hours to complete. Requests for printing are first-come-first-serve, so plan accordingly.
How do I find out what time I will be presenting?
Each presenters will be notified via email. You can also find out what time you are presenting via our conference program (coming soon!).
I am not a UTRGV student. Can I attend?
Yes! Everyone interested in our conference can attend! Please make sure that you register ahead of time if possible (Register here) – on-site registration will also be available.
I can’t go to all of the sessions because of class. What should I do?
No problem, you can always go back to the symposium without restriction. Just keep your name badge for re-entry.
Where should I park if I do not have a parking permit?
Visit our UTRGV parking website. Under overview, click on your respective campus and the map will display their parking zones. As a visitor you can park at Visitor Parking, which are displayed on the map. Visitor parking permits are available at the Visitor Information Booths or at the Campus Police Station.
