Spring 2026 Commencement Map

Review the Spring 2026 Commencement Bert Ogden Arena map for important information regarding incoming routes, parking, and more!


The incoming route colors listed below correspond to the Bert Ogden Arena map.

Orange Route from Mid/Lower Rio Grande Valley  

Guests traveling from the mid/lower Rio Grande Valley on West Interstate Highway 2/US-83 should take the Veterans Boulevard exit, merge onto Frontage Road, and turn right at the intersection with Veterans Boulevard. Continue north on Veterans Boulevard and then turn left on Alberta Road.  

Navy Blue Route, Using the Owassa Exit  

Guests coming from the south McAllen/Pharr area via North Interstate Highway Expressway 69C should take the Owassa exit and continue north on Frontage Road, until they see Bert Ogden Arena on their right-hand side.  

Light Blue Route, Using the Trenton Exits  

Guests coming from the south McAllen/Pharr area via North Interstate Highway Expressway 69C can take Trenton exit – but they will not be allowed to enter through the west side of Bert Ogden Arena. Guests will be required to continue north to Trenton Road, turn right on Trenton Road, turn right on Veterans Boulevard, and right on Alberta Road.​

Guests coming from north Edinburg via North Interstate Highway Expressway 69C should take the Trenton exit, go left at the intersection, continue east on Trenton Road, turn right on Veterans Boulevard, and right on Alberta Road.

Approved and Non-approved Bags and Items

In order to support a safe and enjoyable environment, all candidates and guests are encouraged to review the list of approved and non-approved bags and prohibited items. Prohibited items will be confiscated, and patrons may be refused entry if in violation of the guidance.    

Candidates and guests are encouraged to leave purses and bags at home. If the use of a purse or bag is necessary, review and adhere to the list of approved and non-approved bags.

Prohibited items may vary based on the type of event being held at Bert Ogden Arena and
at the discretion of Bert Ogden Arena management.

Inclement Weather

The university will monitor precarious conditions that may impact the integrity of the ceremony and make the best possible decision based on the safety of all those involved. Changes due to inclement weather will be communicated via emails from Tassel, social media, and email 48 hours prior to Commencement.
