Note: The Brownsville Spring 2023 Commencement has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2023 (same time and location).

Approved and Non-approved Bags and Items
In order to support a safe and enjoyable environment, all candidates and guests are encouraged to review the list of approved and non-approved bags and prohibited items. Prohibited items will be confiscated, and patrons may be refused entry if in violation of the guidance.
For Edinburg Ceremonies: Candidates and guests are encouraged to leave purses and bags at home. If the use of a purse or bag is necessary, review and adhere to the list of approved and non-approved bags.

Inclement Weather Statement
UTRGV consults with local weather experts to monitor forecasts during the days leading up to the commencement ceremony. In the event of any changes to ceremonies, notifications will be sent via campus email and social media 24 to 48 hours prior to allow students to plan accordingly.

Grad Slides
The Grad Slides will be available for viewing on Thursday, May 11, starting at 8:00 A.M. You will be able to download or share the slide via Facebook or Twitter. Graduates can search for their slide by degree, major, or by name. The recommended web browsers for viewing are Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not recommended.
