The master’s (M.S.) education program in speech-language pathology at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.

Complaints to The Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) by any Interested Party

Any individual may contact the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) if they feel a serious offense related to this Communication Disorders program's compliance with accreditation standards has occurred. Complaints may also be made to the CAA that involve behavior that is in violation of ASHA's Code of Ethics. Please note that the CAA should not be contacted for the purpose of airing complaints of a general or unspecified nature. The CAA has specific guidelines established which must be completed and can be found on ASHA's website under Procedures for Complaints Against Graduate Education Programs link. All complaints must be signed and submitted in writing to: Chair, Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Blvd, #301, Rockville, MD 20850. The CAA will not accept complaints delivered by email or facsimile
