The Cello Festival

The UTRGV Cello Festival is an annual three-day festival inviting cellists of all ages from beginners to the most advanced and professional cellists celebrating the art of music making by performing together, and participating in master classes, presentations, workshops, and concerts. The 2022 Festival is the 11th Cello Festival on the campus of UTRGV in Edinburg Texas and features guest artists and clinicians of national and international reputation 

 

Activities

Thursday, March 24, 2022 (at STC)
2:30 pm - 9:00 pm 

Master classes for RGV cellists (but open to all) take place at

South Texas College Cooper Center on Thursday, March 24

 

All other activities and events take place at the

University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Performing Arts Center

on Friday and Saturday, March 25-26

Friday, March 25, 2022 (at UTRGV)
4:00 pm - 8:30 pm (and 10:30 am for adults) 

Saturday, March 26, 2021 (at UTRGV)
8:30 am - 6:30 pm

 

Activities vary for age groups. For more details check out the schedule

$60 Participation fee (payment options)

Early Registration deadline Friday, March 11, 2022

Later registrations accepted until Wednesday, March 23. 12:00 noon

 

All master classes, workshops and recitals at
South Texas College and at
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
are open to the public
