The Cello Festival
The Cello Festival is a bi-annual festival inviting cellists of all ages from beginners to the most advanced and professional cellists celebrating the art of music making by performing together, and participating in master classes, presentations, workshops, and concerts. The 2024 Festival is the 13th Cello Festival on the campus of UTRGV in Edinburg Texas and South Texas College, featuring guest artists and clinicians of national and international reputation

Monday, April 1 - Recital. Dr. Patrick Hopkins (cello) with Dr. Stacy Kwak (piano) at STC. 7:30 pm
Tuesday, April 2 - Concerto Day (college students performing complete concertos) at STC. 5:00 pm
Thursday, April 4 - Master classes for college students with Julian Schwarz at STC. 3:00 pm
Thursday, April 4 - Guest Artist recital: Schwarz & Bournaki Cello and Piano Duo at STC. 7:30 pm
Friday, April 5 - Master class for college students with Bongshin Ko at UTRGV. 2:00 pm
Friday, April 5 - SPRING STRINGS at Gelman Stained Glass Museum. 8:00 pm
