Designed to support hands-on learning, cutting-edge research, and real-world problem solving, our labs offer students the tools and technology to explore, experiment, and excel. Whether you're coding your first program, defending against cyber threats, or building intelligent machines, our labs are where your ideas take shape, and your skills come to life.

Rules

  1. No food or drinks are allowed near computers. Eat at the designated tables.
  2. Clean your area before leaving the lab.
  3. Loud talking or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
  4. UTRGV Lab Consultants are not responsible for personal belongings.
  5. All computer users are required to log on and off the computer.
  6. Downloading and installing software programs is prohibited. Ask Lab Consultants for assistance with this.
  7. Any information saved on the lab computers is not secure and will be erased at random times.
  8. Printing can be done from any computer but is only available to CECS students.
  9. Printers are only available for academic applications associated with class work, and the print-limit is 15 double-sided pages.
  10. Any problem within the computer lab should be reported to the Lab Consultants on duty.

  • Digital Forensics: Research Theme: Mobile forensics, Memory Forensic, and File System Forensic
  • Security Enhancement: Research Theme: Cryptography Engineering, Cloud/Mobile/IoT Security, and Blockchain
  • Secure System Design: Research Theme: Hardware Security, System Security, and Adversarial Machine Learning
  • Open Team or Individual Projects: General Theme: Students work on their team/individual projects and other class work.
