Co-Sponsorship Requests
The Center of the Borderlands welcomes requests to co-sponsor events, programs, exhibitions, lectures, performances, workshops, conferences, and other initiatives that advance our mission of fostering scholarship, education, cultural understanding, and community engagement related to the Rio Grande Valley and the U.S. - Mexico borderlands.
Co-sponsorship requests are reviewed based on their alignment with Borderland's mission, anticipated impact on students and the broader community, opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, and the availability of funding and resources.
Priority may be given to those who have not received funding through this program in the past year. Events must be free and open to the public to be eligible. All publicity must acknowledge the co-sponsorship of “The Center of the Borderlands”. If you need our logo, reach out to us at borderlands@utrgv.edu.
Please submit your request as early as possible. Requests requiring financial support should ideally be submitted at least 4–6 weeks before funding is needed to allow adequate time for review.
