Magdalena Garcia
Ms. Magdalena Garcia brings over 18 years of experience in higher education administration, with a diverse background spanning financial operations, student services, academic affairs, and institutional support. She began her career in 2007 at The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA), a legacy institution of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and has since held key administrative support roles in the Office of the Comptroller, Office of the Dean of Students, the Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Department of Marketing, and the Office of Curriculum and Institutional Assessment.
In 2024, Ms. Garcia joined the Office of the Provost at UTRGV, where she currently serves as a Senior Administrative Associate. In this role, she provides high-level administrative support to senior leadership, coordinates daily operations, and contributes to strategic initiatives. In addition, she plays a vital role in fostering collaboration across academic and administrative units to advance institutional priorities.
Ms. Garcia holds an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Throughout her career, Ms. Garcia has been recognized for her professionalism, strong organizational skills, and commitment to collaborative service. She brings a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges and is dedicated to supporting the success of academic and institutional goals.
