As we approach the mid-point of the spring 2025 semester, I want to take a moment to recognize all the wonderful things you are doing to bring acclaim to our institution. Not a day goes by that I don’t take pride in the many awards and acknowledgements that pour into our campus because of the tremendous work our faculty, students, and staff are producing, day in and day out. A few examples of these significant recognitions are highlighted below.

I also wanted to personally congratulate the UTRGV Baseball team for their thrilling victory over nationally-ranked Dallas Baptist (#20) on February 18 by a score of 15-5. Our Vaqueros showed a level of grit and determination that is a hallmark of our institution, scoring 11 runs in the ninth inning to rout a noteworthy opponent. Please join me in giving the players a hearty and well-deserved congratulations!

As a reminder, Spring Break (March 17 - March 22) is only a few weeks away. Until then: Buckle up and get ready for a new adventure! Thank you again for all that you do.
