Message from the Provost: RCVCOBE Interim Dean Announcement
August 4, 2023
Dear UTRGV Community:
It is my pleasure to appoint Dr. Giorgio Gotti as the Interim Dean of the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship, effective August 2, 2023. Dr. Gotti has served as Acting Dean of the RCVCOBE since July 1, 2023, and he has been the Director of the School of Accountancy and a Professor in the RCVCOBE since 2021.
Over the coming year, I will initiate a search for a permanent dean and will seek your assistance during that appointment process.
As I make this announcement, I also wish to thank Dr. Lance Nail for his service as Dean of the RCVCOBE from 2019 through 2023. We wish Dr. Nail the very best in his new position at The University of Southern Mississippi.
Meanwhile, please congratulate Dr. Gotti and welcome him to the interim position by providing him with your full support.
