Spanish Translation and Interpreting Minor
At UTRGV’s Translation and Interpreting Programs (TIP), we train translators and interpreters. Our programs include a minor in Spanish Translation. With a total of 6-courses (18 credits), it provides a general introduction to the discipline and requires 6 credits of electives to be chosen among the specialization courses available. This allows for students to concentrate in areas such as Medical Interpreting or Translation Technologies.
All the courses in the Minor in Spanish Translation have been designated as Spanish or Bilingual courses, which means they can be used to fulfill the requirements for obtaining the B3 Scholar Seal. Such courses help fulfill the vision of UTRGV as a bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate (B3) university. |
