Undergraduate

The Department of Writing & Language Studies offers an undergraduate education with majors, minors, and certificates in a variety of languages. 

  • Our English program offers two Bachelor of Art degree plans and three Minors.
  • Our Spanish Translation & Interpreting program offers a Bachelor of Arts, a minor, and one certificate.
  • Our French program offers two minors.
  • Our Asian Studies program offers one minor.
  • We also have courses in a variety of world languages to help round out a student’s undergraduate education.

Our department has faculty who can speak and teach in many major languages from around the world.  Within their respective languages, our faculty also represent multiple different disciplinary approaches to the study and teaching of their languages.  This multidisciplinary makeup of our department gives students the opportunity to develop a degree plan that is competitive in an international workforce.
