Fall 2020 Course Options
The Look Up Classes option in ASSIST shows how classes will be taught, when, and where – for example, online, or traditional (in person), or a combination of both – and students’ schedules in ASSIST will display the times and room numbers for classes where appropriate.
ASSIST → Student Services → Registration → Look Up Classes
Examples below show what each instructional method looks like when looking up classes to take in a term. To look up classes and see how they will be taught, log in to ASSIST. Under the Student Services tab, click on Registration, then Look UP Classes. Select a term, like Fall 2020, then select a subject. Click on the View Sections button for the course number and title of interest. By clicking on the five-digit CRN in blue, the instructional method will be displayed under the campus and schedule type.

Examples below show the campus, room, and time details in a student schedule. To see class details like those below, log in to ASSIST. Under the Student Services tab, click on Registration, then Student Detail Schedule. Select a term, like Fall 2020, and the class(es) for that term will appear.
Synchronous (OSYNC)

Online synchronous classes will have days and times included. No room will be assigned because meetings occur online. If a day, time or instructor name isn’t posted yet, check back again for updates because the fall schedule is subject to changes as new classes are added and instructors are assigned.

Online asynchronous classes will not have days and times included. The “time” and “where” will stay as “TBA.” No room will be assigned because meetings occur online. If an instructor name isn’t posted yet, check back again for updates because the fall schedule is subject to changes as instructors are assigned.

Instructors of ITV classes will contact students with more details about when and how often students will be expected in the classroom.
