Eligibility
WHO IS AN ELIGIBLE UBMS-EDINBURG PARTICIPANT?
Participants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Be a student at Donna High School, Weslaco High School, or Weslaco East High School
- Be in the 9th or 10th grade at the time of application
- Show potential for success in a postsecondary institution in the areas of math, science, and engineering
- Be a potential first-generation college bound student and/or
- Meet the income guidelines as defined by the U.S. Department of Education
WHO IS AN ELIGIBLE UBMS-BROWNSVILLE PARTICIPANT?
Participants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Be a student at Harlingen South High School, Harlingen High or San Benito High School
- Be in the 10th or 11th grade at the time of application
- Show potential for success in a postsecondary institution in the areas of math, science, and engineering
- Be a potential first-generation college bound student and/or
- Meet the income guidelines as defined by the U.S. Department of Education
