Drop Box |
Bursar’s Office has a night box located outside of the ESSBL building (Edinburg) or next to the entrance. The drop-box is opened daily at 4:30 p.m. |
Cash, Check, and Money Orders
Personal checks and money orders should be made payable to The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and must contain the student ID and driver’s license number on the face of the check. Temporary checks will not be accepted.
A returned check fee of at least $25 shall be applied to a check or electronic check returned for insufficient funds or incorrect banking information.
The University may allow up to two returned checks or electronic checks throughout student enrollment with UTRGV. The University will not accept a check or electronic check from an individual who has had three or more returned checks.
Credit Card
CREDIT CARDS ONLY ACCEPTED ONLINE. Type of Credit Cards Accepted: MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

At the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, we know that our international students often have to pay significant transfer fees when paying for their tuition fees and expenses. For that reason, UTRGV has teamed up with TransferMate to provide a streamlined and secure payment method through your student account that reduces bank fees and improves international students’ payment experience. TransferMate helps international students pay tuition and fees in their local currency from any country.
TransferMate also offers domestic wire transfer options at an additional charge of 20 USD added to all USD-to-USD payments.

All payments for tuition and fees must be received at the Bursar’s Office by the tuition payment deadline each semester. Payments received after the deadline, regardless of the postmark date, are considered late.
