Traveling to the Rio Grande Valley
SWTCC will be held principally at the Edinburg campus of UTRGV (1201 W University Dr, Edinburg, TX 78539) although conference talks will be simulcast to (and may be given from) the Brownsville campus (1 W University Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78520). For attendees in Texas, it may be convenient to drive. Others will likely wish to fly.
Edinburg is served by McAllen-Miller International Airport (MFE); United and American are the primary carriers, and there are regular flights to/from Dallas, Houston, and Mexico City. Brownsville is served by the same carriers at Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), with regular flights to/from Dallas & Houston and a seasonal shuttle to Chicago. Almost equidistant between the two UTRGV campuses, about 45 minutes away in Harlingen, is Valley International Airport (HRL), which features service from United, American, and Southwest (with flights to Austin & Houston).
