Program Overview
The Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice follows the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essential of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing standards and will prepare nurses to work in leadership and administration or as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). With an emphasis on interprofessional team building, nurses will learn to implement evidence-based programs to support the transition of practice and create collaborative environments effectively to minimize disparities in the healthcare system. The curriculum provides the latest evidence-based practice methods to develop APRN’s into experts of healthcare policy, quality improvement, and information management. This program is 100% online.
Possible Career Options
Due largely to the aging population, a DNP holder can expect a plethora of opportunities in healthcare administration, head of a nursing department and many others.
