Students can choose a research project from the areas of:

Student (REU) participants will receive a $4,750 stipend. and travel reimbursement up to $600. A travel reimbursement up to $600, free accommodation and a food allowance will be provided for non-local participants.

Teacher (RET) participants will receive a $10,000 stipend.

The program takes place June 1 to August 7, 2020 at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Brownsville campus.

Physics, astronomy, chemistry, computer science, engineering and other STEM majors are encouraged to apply.

Undergraduate students that will not have graduated by the end of Fall 2020 are eligible to participate, but due to funding agency requirements, participants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
