Our Nonprofit Workshop Series provides unique learning opportunities, networking, and a Q&A time with each presenter.

FALL 2026

This fall, the UTRGV Nonprofit Resource Center will host the 2026 RGV Nonprofit Summit, Navigating with Purpose: Charting the Future of Nonprofits, in partnership with OneStar, in place of our traditional workshop series. The Summit will bring together nonprofit leaders, board members, and community changemakers from across the Rio Grande Valley for a day of learning, networking, and collaboration focused on nonprofit leadership, governance, and resource development. We invite you to join us as we come together to navigate challenges, share ideas, and chart the future of the nonprofit sector in our region.

SPRING 2027

The UTRGV NRC Spring 2027 Workshop Series offers a three-part nonprofit governance and board development program covering governance fundamentals and legal duties, effective board recruitment and engagement, and accountable strategic oversight, with a focus on risk and sustainability. This series, held from February to April, aims to strengthen the roles and impact of nonprofit boards.
