As director of Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management, Moncus oversees a wide range of safety operations — from environmental and laboratory safety to fire, life and occupational risk — ensuring the university remains a secure environment for learning, research and innovation.

For nearly two decades, Matthew Roxburgh has been a vital member of UTRGV’s frontline IT support team, ensuring faculty, staff, and students have the technical tools they need to succeed. As a Technology Support Specialist II, Roxburgh tackles everything from hardware repairs and software troubleshooting to complex technical escalations and IT infrastructure support.

For 25 years, Karina Torres has been a guiding light for UTRGV students navigating the road to graduation. As an Academic Advisor on the Edinburg Campus, Torres has helped thousands of students select the right classes, tackle obstacles, and achieve their educational goals — all with the patience and compassion that make her a trusted figure in the UTRGV community.

As Senior Graduate Student Recruiter in UTRGV's Graduate Recruitment office, Ana Chapa helps bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. Since 2019, she’s played a pivotal role in guiding students through the often-daunting process of graduate admissions — from that first spark of interest to the final steps of enrollment.
