RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TEXAS – JUNE 4, 2026 – Looking for a way to keep your kids active, engaged and learning this summer? The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is offering a variety of K-12 summer camps and enrichment programs designed to let students explore their interests in a fun, university setting.

Running throughout June, July and early August on the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses, these programs place students directly in UTRGV classrooms, laboratories, art spaces and athletic venues. Campers will learn from university faculty, staff and student mentors, helping them build confidence, explore future career paths and experience life on a college campus.

SUMMER CAMP AND PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS 

  • C-STEM Summer Camps: Hands-on science experiences that introduce students to laboratory equipment and scientific experimentation.
  • TX CIPHER Youth Program: Cybersecurity and technology-focused activities exploring coding, networks and digital security.
  • Super Fuel Summer Camp: Interactive cooking activities that build kitchen confidence while teaching kids how nourishing food fuels their bodies and minds.
  • Railway Safety Camp and Transportation Programs: Interactive engineering activities introducing students to transportation systems, robotics and real-world problem solving. 
  • AgDiscovery: Agricultural and animal science experiences highlighting careers in food, agriculture and natural resources.
  • Music Camps (Saxophone, Marching Band and Piano): Opportunities for young musicians to develop their skills and perform in university facilities under the guidance of School of Music faculty. 
  • Athletics and University Recreation Camps: Active programs focusing on physical activity, teamwork and skill development alongside UTRGV coaches and student-athletes. 

No matter your child’s interest, UTRGV summer programming offers hands-on adventures in an inspiring university setting.
