RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TEXAS – OCT. 2, 2025 – Starting this Friday, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley invites students and community members to wear and display orange, creating a vibrant wave of support for our Vaqueros across the Rio Grande Valley.
This new initiative encourages everyone, students, faculty, staff and the community, to don their best orange attire every Friday, fostering school spirit and pride.
“Wearing orange is more than just a color; it’s a symbol of our unity and pride as a university community. It represents our collective spirit and support for our students and student-athletes. I encourage everyone to join us in this initiative and let’s show our UTRGV pride,” UTRGV President Guy Bailey said.
