Information Security Office

Dear UTRGV Community,

In our ongoing efforts to protect our University community from financial fraud and phishing attempts, we want to inform all UTRGV faculty and employees of recent phishing campaigns attempting to alter payment and payroll information targeting numerous campus users.

Remember the UTRGV will never ask for your credentials or payroll/financial information in an email.

If you clicked on any link, opened any attachments within the email, or responded via text or email please change your password immediately at https://myaccount.utrgv.edu  If additional assistance is needed, contact the IT Service Desk at 665-2020 or 882-2020.  You can also submit a help request (incident) from the https://support.utrgv.edu portal.

Remember, when in doubt, always contact the appropriate department directly to determine the authenticity of the email.  Additionally, if you would like to report an email as phishing, use the Phish Alert Button located in the upper right menu in Outlook.

Sincerely,

Information Security Office
