Dear Faculty and Staff -
Please join me in welcoming Dr. Sandra Hansmann as the new Associate Dean for Curriculum and Student Affairs in the Graduate College. Dr. Hansmann is a Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Services & Counseling at UTRGV and has served in various leadership roles including as the Chair of the UTRGV Graduate Committee.
In this new role Dr. Hansmann will assist the Graduate College Dean and graduate faculty in coordinating the UTRGV Graduate Committee, developing and updating policies governing graduate education, developing new degrees and certificates, improving the quality of graduate education, developing and delivering professional development opportunities to students and faculty, degree certifications, and addressing matters related to student academic success.
Dr. Hansmann has been a member of the UTRGV/UTPA Faculty for over 10 years. During her career with us she has been very active in various committees and has initiated or assisted in the development of several new programs including the early development of the Office of Global Engagement. She is well known by the student body and is very active in assisting her students when necessary.
We are very pleased to have Dr. Hansmann join the Graduate College team at this exciting time of its development and transformation. If you see Dr. Hansmann on campus please congratulate her on this new role.
