Move-in Date Schedule
Move-in for the Spring 2022 semester has been scheduled for Sunday, January 16, 2022, for new and returning students.
Instructions
We want all residents to have a smooth Move-In experience and we are excited to welcome you to making UTRGV home.
RETURNERS
Students with existing contacts who live on campus in the fall 2022 semester are considered returners.
APARTMENTS (Village and Casa Bella)
Residents are required to check-in for the spring semester when they arrive on campus. If you are already on campus, you are still required to check-in for the spring semester.
Residents have two options to check-in.
- Virtual Check In-Fill out our online Virtual Check-in Form Link:
- Check-in with the Resident Assistant over the Phone through SMS or by calling the RA on call
RESIDENCE HALLS (Unity & Heritage)
Residence Halls can begin to return to access their building on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at noon. Residents are required to check-in for the spring semester when they arrive on campus.
- To Check In swipe your V OneCard on the exterior door access point to your assigned building at Unity Hall or Heritage Hall.
NEW RESIDENTS
Students who did not live on campus in fall 2022 and are checking in for the spring semester are considered new residents.
APARTMENTS (Village and Casa Bella)
All new residents are required to check-in at the administrative offices of their assigned building starting Sunday, January 16, 2022, between 12 PM- 4 PM only. If you cannot check in during this time period please notify your Housing Coordinator in advance to set up an alternate check-in time.
Village Apartments – Edinburg – Administrative Office Location – Room 2101
Casa Bella Apartments – Brownsville – Administrative Office Location – Clubhouse Lobby
CHECK-IN STEPS
- Check-in with Staff at Front Desk
- Present your Government Issued ID or UTRGV V OneCard
- Fill out and sign the Housing Contract Acknowledgment Form
- Complete Check-In Process with Resident Assistant that includes reviewing the welcome packet, pick up keys, Room Condition Report
- Students are required to review Roommate Agreement and Resident Student Housing Contract on their own time.
RESIDENCE HALLS (Unity & Heritage)
All new residents are required to check-in at the lobby of their assigned building on Sunday, January 16, 2022, between 12 PM- 4 PM only. If you cannot check in during this time period please notify your Housing Coordinator in advance to set up an alternate check-in time.

Requirements
Per university guidelines, masks are optional inside university buildings and outdoors. For individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have weakened immune systems, masking and social distancing are optional but recommended.
Please bring only the guests you need to help you move to keep the residence halls from being too crowded.
Try to pack only essential belongings.
