Reservation of Graduate Credit by Undergraduate Students
It is possible for UTRGV undergraduate students to enroll in up to six hours of graduate (master’s) courses in their last semester of their undergraduate degree under the following conditions:
You must lack no more than 12 hours of work to complete all requirements for your first bachelor’s degree.
These 12 hours (or fewer) must be completed in the same semester, or two six -week summer sessions, in which you are taking the graduate courses.
Total enrollment must not exceed 15 semester hours in a regular semester, or 12 semester hours in two six -week summer sessions.
You must be graduating from your undergraduate degree the same semester you are wishing to register for graduate courses.
You have a minimum graduate admission GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) on work completed to date.
The Reservation of Graduate Credit by Undergraduate Students Form is submitted to the Graduate College.
NOTE: Undergraduates cannot count work in graduate courses toward the bachelor’s degree. Such work will be reserved for credit toward a graduate degree.
Students are not permitted to enroll in graduate accelerated online courses while pursuing an undergraduate degree.
