Kacy Mora, Professional Staff
Kacy Mora is an educational professional whose passion for teaching, innovation, and community engagement continues to shape her work in higher education. As a Professional Staff member in the Office of Faculty Affairs at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Master's student in Educational Technology, Kacy supports initiatives that advance faculty development, engagement, and success. Her work includes program coordination, faculty programming, educational technology, data-informed decision-making, and the development of resources that enhance the faculty experience. Before joining UTRGV full-time, Kacy served as a first-grade dual-language teacher in McAllen, Texas, and later taught English to learners of all ages in Spain. These experiences strengthened her commitment to inclusive education, lifelong learning, and culturally responsive practices. Today, she applies those same principles to supporting faculty growth and promoting innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Kacy's expertise includes instructional design, survey development, data visualization, and project management. She collaborates with faculty, staff, and university leaders to streamline processes, improve communication, and create meaningful opportunities for professional development. Through her work, she helps ensure that faculty have the resources and support needed to thrive. Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Kacy is deeply committed to serving her community and strengthening educational opportunities across the region. Her work reflects a belief that meaningful impact is achieved through collaboration, innovation, and a dedication to supporting those who help shape student success.
